Amit K. Mathur, M.D., is a Transplant and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Dr. Mathur uses a combination of open, laparoscopic and other minimally invasive techniques to treat patients. He is also a member of the pediatric liver transplant team at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mathur has expertise in clinical outcomes and health services research. His research focuses on improving access to health care, health disparities, clinical outcomes and health care delivery in surgery, cancer, end organ failure and transplantation.
Dr. Mathur is passionate about his service to the field of organ transplantation. He currently serves on the UNOS/OPTN Minority Affairs Committee. He is a member of the editorial board of "Liver Transplantation" and is an invited reviewer for multiple surgical and transplant journals. He is a member of several esteemed surgical societies. He is also actively engaged in teaching and mentoring students, residents and fellows. He directs the Transplant Quality program at Mayo Clinic, Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.
